    Very intimate, nicely decorated, well spaced with great staffs. It is in V&A but not a bustling kind of V&A. My place for an after work drink.

    The waitress Nicolette resonates the epitome of what service is about and extremely hard working an absolute credit to the Cape Grace. Her service and guest satisfaction have been a constant over time.

    Pre booked for the whiskey tasting. On arrival they didn't know where we must be. Eventually they figured it out that we must be at the Bascule bar. There they didn't know what tasting I was booked for. I had guests present that I was entertaining and didn't want them to know how much it's costing. Then the waiter came up to us and asked if we were booked for the Rx or Ry tasting. I felt a bit embarrassed. At the end we paid R700+ (tip included) for 90ml of whiskey. I did learn a few things about whiskey I didn't know. If the person presenting the tasting could answer my question on what is the whiskey worth per bottle it would have been just that much more informative. And maybe put the tasting into perspective regarding value for money.
