We visited the restaurant on our first evening 1st February. After waiting for an hour with no food we walked out. We reported this to reception who said it would be looked into. We explained that we had booked a table for lunch on Wednesday 5/2 at3pm for lunch with friends but were now thinking of cancelling as we couldn’t risk this happening again. We were assured next morning by Chef Chesney that he would personally insure that an outside table would be ready for us and that we would be looked after. When we arrived for our table the staff had no record of our booking and had to hastily set up a table for us. This was very embarrassing as we were keen to impress our friends. After lunch we went in search of Chesney and asked front desk if they could please arrange for us to meet with him. This did not happen. Very very disappointing and bad reflection on the wonderful Cape Grace.

With the excessive wind blowing we were disappointed that we could not sit outside. We were accommodated inside but the service was slow and the food was average and expensive .

Cold beer. Great burger. Ultra crispy fries. Friendly but professional service. What's not to like?
