Offering a variety of seating arrangements, vibrant décor colours and modern fireplaces, Balata Restaurant is famous for its outstanding buffets. Light business lunches are equally popular, but Balata is certainally known for its exquisite fine dining under the leadership of our Executive Chef D'Arcy Els. Using the freshest produce available, all meals are served with great care and attention to detail.

The Roundabout Bar has cascading views over the golf course and is popular with the golfing fraternity who need to recuperate after a strenuous round of golf, or that drink on the way back home after a long day at the office.

Bar Verve with its trendy ambience is perfect for a first date, a quick get together or just for unwinding after work. A secluded wine cellar hides behind Bar Verve and provides a sophisticated private venue amongst many bottles of hand-picked South African wines.

    I celebrated my 60th birthday at Fairview with 10 friends. The food was fantastic. We loved the saxophone player in the background and could not fault the service. I highly recommend the Sunday buffet.

    We enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch here. The soup and starters were amazing with smiked salmon Àand a salad of shrimp and mussels in a mayo sauce. Amazing! The oxtail was super delicious and tender. The lamb could have been more moist. The vegetables were dpinach and butternut which is what we are served all over Gauteng restaurants so not great for more elite hotels and restaurants, in my opinion. We expected a better selection of vegetables. The desserts were awesome. The service was good and the environment clean and well setup. However, although we all love the saxophone live music (it sets a relaxed atmosphere and adds to the ambience), when we are eating it became very loud and affected our conversation. We did ask for it to be turned down a notch and I'm happy to say it was much better and we ended up having a good laugh and conversation at our table of nine.

    An excellent conference facility, great meal, good quality and tasty. Well prepared for our group dietary restrictions. Excellent customer service. Lerato was phenomenal.

    It was my first time dinning at balata restaurant i went there on my birthday i felt welcome like a guest even when i told them it was,my birthday they never made me feel special, the place is beautiful and tidy but the where flies around our table i felt disgusted of the the flies i ordered a double beefy burger and the was,no crispy bacon on my burger all 3 burgers that we ordered and the menu said these a crispy bacon that's the reason i ordered the double beef burger coz i love the bacon. Thy never even explained to us y our burgers didn't have bacon its a nice place will i go back there again no ways, strawberry daquire tasted like strawberry juice lots of syrup and crushed ice i didn't tasted vodka or rum I'm disappointed i only ordered one glass and never ordered again it was my first and my last time visiting the place. The staff is friendly i wont lie thats all ill say about the place my own experience.

    Enjoyed every moment, my team was also happy with the service. The staff was so welcoming, helpful and patient with our group of “busy” kids. only thing with the food was that the menu was a bit limited.
