Set on a working wine estate in the heart of the Stellenbosch Winelands, lies a unique cult wine producer called Alluvia Specialist Winery.

Alluvias award winning wine estate and its luxury accommodation provides a match made in heaven, which we simply describe as “the vineyard lifestyle...”

Alluvia encapsulates the complete spirit of wine, our land blessed with tiny fertile alluvial deposits of Table Mountain Sandstone and Granite which gives us a perfect platform to produce world class wines of integrity. At Alluvia we constantly challenge the boundaries of traditional wine making styles; an approach that earned us top honours at the Decanter World wine awards for Alluvias “ilka” Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as The International Wine & Spirits awards and numerous other accolades. Even before its maiden release, our lisa Cabernet Franc was nominated by Wine Magazine as the top Cabernet Franc in South Africa.

    To sit outside was not possible because of the wasps. Inside it was too hot, not a good aircon. The tables are too low for the chairs. To much noises inside. The Dozen prawns were fine, but the butter garlic wasn’t good, where was the garlic(?) the rice was too dry. The tuna steak was very dry! 2 dishes were not available. We won’t come back.

    Anotida was such a helpful kind soul. Thank you for excellent service. The food was delicious and more than enough for 2. Wish there were different basket options to choose from. We had some items we could not eat but could not substitute. We enjoyed the day. Two things that were a let down The panna cotta was tasteless with very bad texture. And the flies and wasps. Guess nothing can be done about the latter. Otherwise a place I will visit again.

    We attended a five-course Valentine's Day dinner under the stars, with a charming setting and ambiance. Unfortunately, the dishes were presented as single plated servings and the portion sizes did not reflect the value of the price we paid.Very disappointed .
