    All round perfect place. Love the prawns,. Friendly, efficient and professional staff. Ever present manager.

    We were so disappointed with our evening and meal at Adega. We ordered starters which were good, although the snails were overdone. We waited an inordinately long time for our mains and then when they arrived half the food - literally - was cold. The starches were mediocre at best and served cold was not acceptable. Further the eequested rare lamb - which is a higher priced dish - was more than cold. When we complained they took the dish away, nuked it and then presented it as well done. When we complained they took the dish away and then brought a small, really small dish of pasta that was supposed to suffice. We took it up with the manager who said there was nothing he could do. They could not take the price off the bill, and there was no authority to rectify the situation. The owner was then called to advise and he literally said that he would call the cops! He was not willing to assist and was not empathetic to our concerns. Further the bad lamb dish was not even given back to us as a take away.... it disappeared.... we had to make do with a small pasta dish that was not even ordered. We loved Adega - however will not be returning due to bad management by the owner, no manager authority which is sad as it reflects so badly. The owner has given no authority to his manager and his reaction to us not wanting to pay for 1 out of 11 meals because of their mistake - they made us out to be criminals. We paid the aproximate R6000 bill - but sadly will NEVER return. We loved Adega however we will not be going back there.
