Midweek dinners under the stars, Friday nights with friends, special occasions celebrated in style, and a delicious breakfast menu – join us for a memorable dining experience in the heart of Plettenberg Bay.

The main dining room sits in the oldest part of the hotel, in the original building constructed in 1777 as an army barracks for the Dutch East India Company before being converted into an Anglican rectory in 1869. An exquisite, centuries-old stone wall adds warmth and character to the space while the building’s heritage inspires a bistro-style menu that draws on Dutch, English and South African influences.

    Had a wonderful meal earlier in the week. Took friends yesterday for lunch , pasta tasteless, for the rest the standard was noticeably different, had to send burger back to be cooked , also had to send watery cappuccino’s back. Such a pity. Won’t be returning

    The dining room is exquisite, merging the history of plett with contemporary elegance. The service and food were superb. I particularly recommend the fishcakes, mushroom soup, the lamb and the fillet. This is a place I return to for special evenings.

    The food was well presented and accessible and very tasty. The service was excellent with attention to detail. Would definitely go back.
