The Wild Fig Restaurant is a fully licensed Restaurant and Bar situated on a portion of the historic Valkenburg Estate. Our bar is situated in the original barn which is a National Monument. We have beautiful outdoor seating areas as well as private dining areas. We cater for all manner of events such as functions, conference, weddings, cocktail functions, breakfasts and celebrations.

    Sunday Roast : Lamb was tough and poor assortment of vegetables. Potatoes should be roasted not covered in gravy and more like boiled potatoes. Poor value for money.

    Fabulous food, service in a gorgeous setting. I recommend the kudu, but the whole menu is great and everyone in our party loved what they ordered.

    We celebrated my daughter’s 18th birthday and all 18 guests enjoyed their food and the ambience. The staff were very helpful and provided the support needed to enable a happy celebration. We were very grateful !

    We attended the Wild Fig wine festival. It was fantastic. From start to finish. We booked a table in the shady courtyard. Each of our meals (there were 10 of us!) were thoroughly enjoyed, the array included curry, risotto, and burgers. The service was good despite the venue being very busy. The atmosphere was lively and fun and there was a huge variety of wines available to taste. We will definitely be back soon. I hear they have a fireplace so will be sure to check it out in the cooler months.
