Manley Wine Estate has recently opened a new restaurant called The Taste, which is situated on the premises and is managed by chef Nadia Beutler, an accomplished food expert and wedding caterer.

    One judges a restaurant by their toilets- which left much to be desired. Both toilets have open bin baskets which were overflowing , including dirty nappies. The basins were dirty. I did report the state of the toilets with a very luke warm response. Otherwise a fab luncheon

    We are frequent visitors to Tulbagh, but our first time at Manley Estate was truly unforgettable. From start to finish, it was a fantastic culinary experience. The arancini balls were hands down the best we’ve ever had — crispy on the outside, perfectly creamy inside. My husband could not stop raving about the prawn ravioli, which he declared was simply divine. The setting is equally remarkable; so peaceful and serene, it felt like the perfect escape. We’re already looking forward to our next visit, which will be their breakfast.!! A wonderful experience all around!

    The food was exceptional, and the menu was extensive, which was pleasing and choices were difficult to make. The value was good and the portions of generous size. The restaurant was clean and busy. Service was sporadic and there were quite a few waiting periods, but staff were very polite and assisted where possible.

    Chef & owner Nadia again surprised our taste buds! Being regulars to The Taste, we had a 'dinner for four' with friends from Cape Town. We asked Nadia to please prepare a special asparagus starter for us - and WHAT a starter it was! It perfectly fit our BYO wine we brought along. The mains were also fantastic and devine! Don't be shy to ask Nadia for 'specials' (ahead of time) - like we did with our asparagus starter. She will cook a storm for you together! The Taste is highly recommended and we will certainly back!
