    We booked the vegan picnic for our visit whilst doing the wine tram. The basket was ready on time and the food was nice but the pudding was a little disappointing. This was the only vegan picnic we found so it was the best option but could do with some improvement.

    We had lunch at The Country Kitchen. The venue is spectacular with stunning views across Franschhoek town. The service was good, friendly and efficient. After having many memorable lunches and dinners in town, we thought the food was quite average and at a premium price for what you get. The wine tasting was good though.

    Only thing we didn't like was the people coming around to talk/sell the wine delivery. This really shouldn't happen. The people were lovely and friendly but don't expect to be interrupted mid meal or really be upsold this kind of thing at a restaurant. There are better ways to introduce it such as when taking a drinks order or at the end with the bill.
