Our delicious, farm-inspired picnics change with the seasons. We source as many ingredients as possible from our own farm and trusted local producers.

    Spier is by far the best picnic venue in the Cape Winelands region. The picnicery/ deli is affordable and the "WERF" is one of the most beautiful, easy, tranquil spots to just come and enjoy a huge shaded lawn and ambiance. I hosted my daughter's baby shower here and the amazing attitude of the staff making sure we had a special day was superb. We just absolutely love SPIER!

    Spier is a tremendously relaxing venue with many outdoor seating options. The food and service were terrific! My clients are Vegan, and Spier did not have a problem accommodating them. Please remember that you must book and pay in advance.

    The staff were very accommodating and helpful. Given the bad weather, they arranged for us to eat our picnic inside and even lit the fire in the fireplace for us. Thank you

    Whenever you’re staving in the neighbourhood or visitibg from cape town you should absolutely do this! Such a great experience. We had the meat box, the veggie box and the kiddy’s box, all were superb.

    Spier do very generous baskets, although the chicken this time was smaller than before - not an issue, though. They do a standard basket as well as 9ne for vegetarians and vegans. We had a vegetarian in our part6 and we had to quite a bit of tweaking, but the team was very accommodating. The website could be improved. They say you can build your own basket but there is no clear way to do that. That would have helped us immensely. The food was excellent, the picnic spot we chose by the river idyllic and a great picnic was had by all.
