The trendy Rockefeller Plaza is our main restaurant, offering an all-day dining menu with a range of sophisticated main meals as well as more casual wood-fire pizzas and tasty burgers. Children under 12 receive 50% off our standard menu (not applicable on the kids menu).

    We had eaten at Rockefeller previously as it is convenient is going to Artscape.... Perhaps the warning bells should have started when I called to check on Wheelchair parking, the lady who answered the phone did not know, the lady in reception did not know, security advised it was in parking over the road up a slope.....but advised that the FNB manager would could me back.....no call received...so we just parked on the side of the road.....surely a hotel of this standard should have dedicated wheelchair parking facility!!!! On arrival Attwell greeted us warmly and offered us 2 options for seating.......unfortunately it went downhill from there.....we ordered wine, 5 minutes later advised out of stock, ordered an alternative.....5 minutes later no stock.....ordered a third with a 4th option...this time successful........ Food was ordered for our party of 10......9 people received their food ove a 5-10 minute period...unfortunately mine did not arrive......one of the battered fish was returned as it was not edible.......the Tamati Breedie was lukewarm but eaten, the pizzas were of takeaway standard and the Tuna was clearly not fresh.......after 10 minutes our waiter advised that everything was resolved.....a further 10 minutes passed and the new fish was delivered plus a meal for me that was not the one I ordered......was told waiter had picked up wrong plate......10 minutes later I walk to the kitchen and advise that they can cancel my order to be told it was just about to be delivered....I refused.......a bottle of Cap Classique was brought to the table for me as compensation......the waiter must have seen that I do not drink alcohol......... Overall an extremely frustrating time and an experience that will not be repeated,,,,,,go here at your own risk!!!!

    Staff at the restaurant was not friendly. There was no one to welcome me and yet I had made a booking. Staff at the bar was very nice. Waiters were staring at us differently. Noticed that other people were treated better. I also work with customers and I treat everyone that comes to me with great service...it doesn't matter who they are. I really loved the atmosphere and the bar area. Next time I won't book a table, I will sit at the bar area.

    I recently had the pleasure of celebrating my 21st birthday at the Rockefeller hotel on December 29th, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! From the initial phone call to make the reservation, the employees were extremely engaging and provided top-notch service. They went above and beyond to meet my requirements, and I'm truly grateful for their efforts. The highlight of the evening was the amazing buffet, which was rearranged specially for me. The prices were well worth it, considering the exceptional quality and variety of food on offer. I'd like to extend a huge thank you to the Rockefeller hotel team for having me and making my 21st birthday celebration so special. If you're looking for a venue that offers outstanding service and cuisine, I highly recommend the Rockefeller hotel. Five stars from me!
