Unfortunately a lot of noise because of tree cutting work during the picnic. Food was o.k. but not exceptional. Service was slow. The waiter had too many tables to serve. Last time at Vergelegen it was a lot better!

We were really looking forward to the picnic in Fair Location, but unfortunately it was no longer in the same place and the service was not as great as the last time.

Shame about the huge monstrosity that has been built. Picnic by the riverside was good.

Its very expensive for what you get, the kids basket was R200 per kid, they only ate the sour strips and a few pieces of popcorn, tried to pre order fries and was given pasta salad and wraps filled with mayo even though I advised at booking and before paying they dont eat mayo, ice cream was supposed to be ice cream with oreo crumbs, were handed half melted (running down the servers hand) cones. For adult desert expected variety of ice cream was served coffee panacotta , also was served a role with 1 teaspoon of butter (this is the supposed artisnal bread with herbed butter, also just a headsup- their Sauvignon Blanc at the cellar is R150 (cheaper in the shops) and paid R250 at the picnic, setting was good, staff was good but value for money, not so much.
