Located in the heart of Gauteng’s busiest tourism route, Molitva is perfectly positioned in The Cradle of Humankind. A mere 3km’s from the Rhino and Lion Nature Reserve, this country gem is a quick turn off Kromdraai Road. Specialising in fresh, organic, homegrown fruits and vegetables, Molitva’s mouthwatering food menu will charm any tastebuds. The menu is largely centered around a range of mezze and tapas styled foods from various Mediterranean cuisines, but also offers those that prefer something a little more substantial; homemade pasta’s, an array of salads, a selection of grills and a variety of appetizing burgers.

Head chef and part owner, Milan Cerimaj describes Molitva’s cuisine as “Orthodox Mediterranean” with subtle twists and adaptations.

Surrounded by the green, lush countryside and mountainous views, this restaurant and pub is the perfect setting for a day out with the family, a romantic date or a time to kick back and relax with friends.

The starter dips and bread were phenomenal. The main course food across the board was too oily and too salty. Everyone gave that same feedback. The cheesecake tasted like scrambled eggs. The Orange cake was delicious although not as light as I remember it last time. The brownies were delicious, but looked very hard, from what I could see. I should let you know that, from where I was sitting on the patio, I could smell the smell of old cooking oil. People who had chips complained that they tasted like fish as did the person who had the spaghetti bolognaise. I was a bit disappointed because I highly recommended Molitva based on previous experience, but the food generally speaking was not great. The service and setting were exceptional.

Unfortunately our experience was not great, we actually never even got to eat. Our waiter was really not great, broufht me the wrong drink then argued with me because i said i never ordered a R125 worst margarita i have every had in my life, i actually ordered a mango daiquiri, beers took about 20min to get to the table, yhe toikets were absolutely disgusting, 1000's of Flys, wee all over the toilet seats, its was just gross.. When u charging people R270 for a Durbanville hill white white which was the cheapest white wine available most exoe3was Over a thousand rand, yku would expect the loo's to at keast be decent and i dread to think how many flies are in their kitchen :-(.. We certainly will not be back in a hurry.. We found an awesome spot up the road who had a bottle of Springfield live of stone for R240.. T Molvita unfortunately you left a very bad taste in our mouths.. 1 margarita, 4 Stella draughts and 4 tequilas, bottle sparkling water was R800..
