    This was our 6th or 7th time dining at Melfort and honestly the food just gets better and better! We had the Sunday lunch set menu and generally choose the set menu because the whole experience is just phenomenal. It’s so hard to comment on any specific dish because every single course is amazing but this time we were particularly blown away by the artichoke and peach starter. Our whole table chose the Osso Bucco for main course and it was so delicious along with all the sides but I now feel I need to go back just to taste the vegetarian option. Our table had a mix of both desserts, the panna cotta and the top deck and they were both amazing! I don’t know how Chef Tasmin does it but every tiny element on each plate is such an experience and so so delicious! Also, the menu changes monthly so each time is a new and amazing experience :) Nick and his front of house team make you feel so at home and you can just feel the love that goes into this place and how they love to share it with their guests! The beautiful surrounds - on a lake, in the vineyards, their kitchen garden, dogs and geese happily playing around you :) And last but certainly not least is knowing that their ingredients are locally sourced, organic, seasonal, the best quality, proper farm-to-fork and they happily and easily customise any dish to any dietary requirement you may have (which we do).     We enjoyed the most wonderful lunch and were truly impressed by both the experience and the team. The setting was beautiful, relaxed and welcoming, and every course was prepared with such care and creativity. The staff were exceptional ... attentive, warm and genuinely passionate about what they do ... which made the entire afternoon feel special. Thank you to Tasmin and her team for their generosity and hospitality. We left feeling appreciated, well cared for and already looking forward to returning. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a thoughtful, heartfelt dining experience.

    The food was delicious!! Everything was excellent. The setting is very calming. I love that it is rustic and unpretentious. A hidden gem for sure!

    Great place and fantastic food! They made the menu complete vegan for us and it was really good! We stayed at Marianne wine estate and could walk to the restaurant. Great food, service and location. Not to miss when you are around!
