    One of the up-and-coming independent restaurants in Cape Town. Chef Tasmin is creating some absolutely amazing dishes, and each time I visit I am surprised on how excellent the food tastes. I shouldn't say surprised, she only chooses seasonal ingredients and changes the menu each month, assuring the best local products are on show. Her background is in ultra fine dining, which shows in her dish creation and plating, but she only uses local and organic ingredients so you leave feeling great, not weighted down in cream and butter. If you haven't gone, I highly recommend a visit, and choose the Chef tasting menu. Let Chef Tas show you her skills!

    We had a wonderful meal and afternoon at Melfort. It is dog friendly so it was also great to bring our dogs with for an outing. The set menu was delicious and abundant, it was also unique in that the ingredients are alll organic and the food healthy (yet delicious). We had a small issue but the owner went over and beyond to rectify it, it was much appreciated and he handled it like a true professional.

    Fantastic experience at Melfort! What a find! The young team behind this restaurant are dedicated and wonderful to watch in action. The food is beautifully thought out and presented, the menu is unpretentious, authentic but still inspired and incredibly delicious. Worth the drive out and will be visited again! PS - they also have a children's menu.
