    Melfort is a gem of a restaurant, the food is delicious, with efficient friendly service and is in a very nice location off the beaten track.Tasmin, the chef and Nick, her partner and fiancé, have built an excellent and fun restaurant in a short space of time, that is highly recommended . Well done guys!

    The food here just gets better and better. Lively ambience. The Zanzibar dessert was the best dessert I have EVER tasted. Highly recommend

    It's incredibly difficult to do better! An entire team, led by a remarkable chef, showcases the quality of the ingredients and flavors, without neglecting the visual appeal! The compositions are balanced and meticulously executed. Each dish is presented by the commis chef, who details the ingredients and preparation methods. A beautiful harmony is evident in the kitchen, right down to the plate. Organic and alternative methods are favored, as well as short supply chains, working with nearby farms and the restaurant's own vegetable garden. The place is magical, calm, and authentic. It's an experience I humbly wish to highlight because, beyond the warm welcome and impeccable service, it's the excellence that shines through on your plate. Behind these magnificent dishes lies an enormous amount of work, refinement, and rigor to guarantee these superb combinations. Thank you to Tasmin and Nick for their dedication!

    A beautiful location. It is evident that the whole team at Melfort is lovingly dedicated to their craft, be it on the service or the kitchen side. Excellent and generous food with playful surprises. Do give it a chance.

    We enjoyed a wonderful laid back lunch at this lovely venue. We opted for the Chef's set menu which was excellent. Each course was presented at the table, by the chef who made it. Seasonal, foraged and organic, the produce was beautifully plated and the flavours and textures showcased with skill. We especially enjoyed the chicken broth with crunchy veg. A burst of umami flavour! The philosophy of food as healing, is well showcased in every dish. Service was smart, friendly and you feel the staff's pride in where they are and what they do. A warm, inviting space with a roaring fire on a fresh day, overlooking a stunning lake. Tasmin, Nick and Team, thank you for an excellent experience. We will be back!

    What a truly special experience from start to finish. I had the pleasure of communicating with Tasmin right up until our booking, and she was incredibly helpful in curating a menu that ensured everyone in our group would have something they loved. Her thoughtfulness and attention to detail made such a difference. From the moment we arrived, the experience continued to be exceptional. Nick was incredibly accommodating, and our waiters were absolutely superb—attentive, warm and professional throughout. It was a wonderful experience that everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed. We left feeling so well looked after, and we will most certainly be back. Highly recommended!

    We had amazing service from all the staff, and felt very welcome and at ease. Fine dining experience, without feeling hungry at the end. The food quality and preparation was amazing, without feeling overdone and fancy for the sake of it. Left feeling happy and grateful for the experience.
