    A lovely welcome and great service! The setting in nature was calming and the food very tasty and beautifully presented. Well done Melfort! My only criticism is I thought the angel fish a touch overcooked.

    We just love this restaurant. After 3 weeks travelling within South Africa this is our highlight of all good restaurants, we have been to. We enjoyed our stay at the Melfort at the beginning of our trip so much, that we had to come back at the end of our trip. And we did not mind the 1 hour Drive from Cape Town to eat again at the Melfort. What shall I say, again the food and the wine were phantastic, the service excellent and warm. The cosy atmosphäre at the small lake unforgettable.

    Great place for a lunch It was a rainy day but we had a nice table at the fireplace . farm to table lunch with good taste . Very friendly staff !
