We ordered a gluten free garlic and olive oil focaccia, the first one arrived and was so overdone that it was hard. They did rectify it but making another one but this one was almost raw. At this point I did not want to complain again do we ate it, it was dripping in oil. When our food arrived, everyone’s food was cold except for the Marinara pasta as the foil kept it warm. We’ve been before and had a much better experience which made it extra disappointing as we were celebrating my daughter’s birthday. Not sure I’ll be back

Lupa almost ruined Xmas. My sister and I were entertaining two British guests for Christmas and they requested we go out for lunch so we could have a relaxing time. Our experience with Florida Roads Lupa was anything but relaxing. We made our reservation about ten days prior, and only having had good experiences at the Westville branch which we go to about 10 times a year or so, we were seated in a comfy cubicle upstairs. My sister and I ordered two pots of tea - waiting for our guests who were delayed at the Denis Hurley Centre, feeding the homeless. They arrived 25 minutes after us, just as our first pot of tea arrived. The waitress presented it to my sister, and then proceeded to get my pot of tea. It arrived with no lid, which after it was placed on the table, the waitress then proudly balanced a larger lid on top. She put the teacup down and then alongside, an espresso cup filled with milk... This was the stunt double for a milk jug... This was an indication of how the rest of the experience was going to go... Raymond and his Mom were ravenous, having just fed hundreds of people, so we very quickly ordered food for the table. The drinks arrived somewhat punctually. But then.... After about an forty minutes two shared starters arrived, with no sign of plates for us. I went downstairs to request side plates and after some time, someone arrived with dinner plates. The starters were now almost cold. We polished off the two starters, expecting the feast to flow but alas - the service again dried up. Another half an hour past and still no food. We enquired to any passing waitron what was going on and one waitress had the cheek to exclaim, we are all waiting for something and that winter is coming - we must be patient. Nearing an hour and a half, two blokes placed the Lupa Signature Parmesan Cheese Wheel down on the table alongside us and then, again disappeared - all the service dried up. Fifteen minutes went by and we eventually tracked down the manager, who in a very tepid response, apologised weakly - ensuring we would get served right away. Twenty minutes after the cheese wheel had arrived, which had now become a popular landing pad for every single fly in Florida Road, we called it quits! Leaving well after 3.30pm - talking to a few of the customers on the way out, they were just as mystified as we were about how utterly dire the service was.
