    Our prawn pasta barely had prawns and its was extremely dry. I always recommend La Prada for its food but was very disappointed with this. The drinks were not mixed well either. The Sandton Laparada always gets it right. The ambience of the La Parada in melrose is amazing. Loved the resident dj’s

    Hi there, As mentioned to the senior manager of the restaurant in a call a couple days ago, we were not fully satisfied with our experience at La Parada. The waiter provided us with good service, however one of the guests who had come with me has some food allergies which were highlighted to him. Her order was a grilled calamari salad - not a fried calamari salad. A fried calamari salad was brought out to her and he did not want to take it back to the kitchen. He insisted that it would be fine for her to eat and that it was not crumbed or coated in anything gluten or dairy, as well as fried in fresh oil. When we came home that night, she was itchy all over even until the next day which required her to take a heavy dose of allergy meds just to ease the discomfort. Thus, hampering any plans made for that Sunday. We had chosen to come to La Parada over other restaurants at Melrose Arch as we had hoped our dietary requirements would be accommodated appropriately, which unfortunately did not occur for one of the guests accompanying me. However, I really enjoyed the Prawn Bomb sushi on your menu which I can commend you on. I hope greater efforts from your staff are made for more inclusivity and respect for those with food allergies.

    Rasta, my waiter was mostly absent and some of my orders for drinks did not come through, yet I was charged a full 10% service tip. The platters were brought to the table in a delayed fashion and badly coordinated. I was mostly disappointed.
