Our Taproom's open year-round and is home to fresh beer, great food, live music, and some truly epic community events. We also host tours and tastings where you can learn more about all full range of beers, right from the source. We also have a retail store selling merchandise and growlers – available for purchase and refill.

In 2016 we opened the doors to our brand-new home in Diep River, Cape Town. Initially, we opened the Taproom as a space for friends and customers to come for a beer, meet the team, and understand the passion that goes into every batch we brew. But soon one day, we decided to open our doors to the world - and we were blown away by the turnout and overwhelmed by the love and support. Hundreds of people went out of their way and queued to get in – in the pouring rain!

That night we learnt that we're part of an amazing community consisting of all walks of life. A bunch of people that can't think of anything better than coming together with a pint of ice-cold Jack Black beer. So, we decided to keep the doors to our Taproom open and crafted a delicious, permanent food menu - including our signature burgers and fries as well as some delicious vegan bites.

    Had the most amazing time celebrating my 30th birthday at your establishment. Well done to the amazing staff that was super attentive and friendly, the food was amazing and the beer!

    The place looks modern and rustic at the same time. There’s a great ambience and the service staff are really sharp and friendly. The food unfortunately is a hit and miss. My wife’s WOW burger was phenomenal whilst my Combo 1 which is listed under mains was poor cuts of ribs, unseasoned mozzarella sticks and pigeon sized wings that are definitely not enough for 2 people unless it’s a snack or starter (not mains)

    We thoroughly enjoyed our time at JB Taproom, this was our 3rd visit and the quality of the food remains consistent. The staff are really friendly and it's such a treat finding this oasis in the middle of an industrial area. We will be back.
