Excellent food with a great atmosphere and I truly loved the Sake and the Yuzu ice tea. The takoyaki was delicious. Will definitely be going again.

Despite Cape Town's excellent reputation for food, I've always found Asian cuisine to be lacking here. With a few notable exceptions, most CT restaurants serve up a muddled mix of Japanese, Chinese and Korean dishes which comes across as confused, misguided and ultimately lacking authenticity. How's your oni is not one of those places. This is legitimately Japanese. The okonomiyaki is straight out of back street Osaka. These guys get it.

We had an amazing first visit. The food was great especially the takoyaki, whose taste took us back to beautiful Kyoto. The staff are so patient and friendly, and the portions are generous. We will definitely return.
