Homespun was thoughtfully designed to transport you away from the stress of the outside world. They offer a unique adaptation of European cooking methods, influenced by Asian, local and worldly flavours.

The Restaurant was built out of the creative mind of Matt Schreuder. After several years of experience in top Michelin star restaurants across the globe, Matt decided to open his dream restaurant in Cape Town: Homespun

    Extremely expensive for the theatre on the plate. Tasty combinations. Except for The mutton/lamb cooked for 15 hours tasted as if it had been warmed up. The compressed meat was tough, stringy and had lumps of fat. The pommes Anna appeared mass produced. I would not recommend this main course. My husband’s fillet was exceptionally good on the highly decorated and fussy plate. The starters and desserts were a delight.

    Homespun was an impeccable dining/sensory experience and the best way to end our trip to Cape Town. My family enjoyed everything about our experience & will return if/when we're back!

    We've had a most memorable and exquisite dinner experience (journey, as they call it) at Homespun at the Andros. It was like culinary art - an outburst of subtile tastes, adventurous combinations, magical presentation. The service was impeccable and utterly pleasant - compliments are in place. We were fortunate that it was not over crowded in the restaurant, so we got all the attention of the staff, and we want to thank you all at Homespun for a most wonderful evening. We would love to come back!

    Super location for an afternoon meal, however not the wow experience we expected. The food was good but just missed something - maybe a chefs surprise (complimentary) extra ? … the dessert was to be honest very average … the hotel grounds were super peaceful but not sure I would be back with international foodie friends. Sorry team - I know you have put in hard work but stale macaroon just won’t pass for the price. The cocktail was good (non alcoholic litchie juice cocktail ) but overall not wha was expected.

    We have been here the 3rd time and this time we have been disappointed. Only the Dumpings and the Main Course had been good. The wine recommendation and discription did not fit to the wine, it was very much to dry. We had been there at 6 pm and the second table. But everything took a very long time.
