Inspired by The Oyster Boxs original, architecture with four magnificent tole and ceramic chandeliers purchased from the Savoy Hotel in London, natural sunlight and towering Palms, The Palm Court is the venue for the legendary High Tea each afternoon. Its also a favourite meeting spot for casual dining.

High Tea is a lengthy, leisurely affair with live piano music providing a welcome addition to the occasion. All pastries and baked goods are prepared on the property by our wonderful pastry team. The high tea table is a visual and taste spectacle of sumptuous treats, with everything from freshly baked scones, pastries, quiches and cakes, to finger sandwiches and savouries.

    A lovely experience but only critism would be the 12.5% 'optional' gratuity. Each ticket for the experience is R450 and to be honest that's more than enough to cover the food and service. Even though it's optional one feels obligated to pay it.

    The staff are absolutely amazing very friendly . I was very disappointed in the vegetarian platter is was so dull not tasty and appetizing besides for the chilli bites and samosas. The setup is favorable but he tables are small so the tea kettle and our platters didn't fit on the table hence we had to put it on a side table .

    The Oyster Box high tea as always did not disappoint. Due to us adding a 6th diner at the last minute, they weren't able to accommodate us in our usual spot, but being seated in The Grill Room was a pleasant change. The room was cool and quiet, and the staff attentive. We were still able to enjoy the beautiful piano music, and visit the splendid spread of eats as many times as desired.

    Very disappointed with the service..no value for money and not worth the food selection for the high tea

    Firstly there isn’t enough parking to accommodate everyone that is using the hotel. Parking is to far away and very small not catering for all vehicle makes. The staff are few and far between and you always looking for a waiter. For the price that you pay you would expect a bigger variety and a fresher selection. Sushi and salmon sandwiches are left open and could lead to food poisoning.
