Come and enjoy a day in the country at The Franschhoek Cellar, a stylishly renovated historic landmark (circa 1920), where you can taste several different wine ranges under one roof, enjoy a bite to eat on the shady lawns, and relax and soak up the stunning vineyard, valley and mountain views. This family-friendly venue has a play area with minders for children, who are well catered for when it comes to meals too.

    We had an absolutely amazing time yesterday. Our host Daran Japhtas was the best and made as feel so welcome and at ease. His service was definitely 11/10. Nothing short of amazing

    We had the wine pairing with cheese & chocolates between us. 4 wines. Excellent value for money and a great experience

    This was definitely the worst wine tasting experience I’ve had. We specifically made a reservation to ensure that we have a table ready when we arrive to the location - only to be told that they don’t reserve tables for a party of less than 6 people. Then why have that option available on dineplan? We were further told that even though we made a reservation that when we arrive they will just place us at a table that is open. What if there are no tables that are open??? That’s the whole point of us making a reservation! It felt like we were just being thrown one side. The tasting experience and presentation itself was dismal. After having been to +/- 15 farms around Cape Town this was not what I expected from Franschhoek Cellar.

    Sorry abandoned our visit. Two buses arrived and decided it looked like an unappealing cafeteria! I would give this a miss!
