Nestled at the foot of our majestic mountains, in the leafy suburb of Newlands, Cape Town, Foresters Arms Restaurant and Pub (fondly referred to by the locals as Forries), is one of the oldest pubs in South Africa and provides the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Its welcoming ambiance provides guests with the opportunity to sit down, relax and enjoy a fine draught beer accompanied by a delicious meal selected from our varied gastro-pub menu.

    Unfortunately the Veggie Burger was not available. Please a) Ensure its availability b) Improve its value. It's currently more expensive than a chicken breast burger. c) If anything, encourage its consumption. (Not harming animals, environment) are all green reasons for veggie! Perhaps Veggie Burger Monday special, I'd definitely come for that (or throw in a free beer for them militant vegans, to calm them down!) Otherwise great atmosphere

    We had an amazing time at Forries! The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the service was top-notch. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food and excellent service. I’ll definitely be back!

    Food and drinks are nice and for good value. Ambience is local and unforced. Wooden chairs and tables. Service is terrific
