Chefs Warehouse at Maison sources only the very best local ingredients from small-scale suppliers and farmers.

The chefs buy in all fish on the bone and all meat as whole carcasses: butchering, filleting, curing, and processing everything in-house, and leaving nothing to waste. The menu is served over four courses and celebrates the coming together of people around a table sharing not only the food but more importantly, each other's company.

Each course is designed to invoke memories of past meals shared with friends or loved ones. Whether it’s a picnic in the garden, a lazy meal by the sea, a quick bite on the street, or a feast with family.

In this, we aim to unite all guests while they reminisce and share their specific memories of familiar moments.

Gourmet Guide Description

The ownership of Maison wine estate has changed, but the setting and standards remain intact. There’s a fresh breath of air in the restaurant, using the vineyard location with mountain backdrop to its full advantage with the inside coming in. Retractable glass doors allow patrons to take pleasure in the farm with its spruced garden in all weather.

David Schneider is a chef who has a strong foundation, and enviable butcher skills married with a love of vegetables. He re-launched with new menu, in a good groove in terms of style of what they are cooking and what people love eating. “It’s the same home-from-home feel, farm-style country-style with our own twist,” he says, smiling. “We have kept sharing, designed after all the places where you might share food with other people. It’s important to highlight that aspect. We all have memories of sharing food, each with our own life experiences,“ explains this passionate chef.

There’s also a new starter snack board and bunch of different little bites. Think duck liver baklava, sweet potato churros and parsnip cornettos. Look out for a new dessert, an epic sundae, which will change all the time. Perhaps a strawberry compote with toasted hay ice cream, Rooibos fudge and rose-flavoured Eton mess. To top it, and fill your memory bank with new delights, Nesquik marshmallows.

Here is a space and place for making new memories from new flavours and a fun, casual dining experience with the calibre of fine-dining cuisine.

Sublime…. Flavours so subtly matched on every plate and wines to match. Pick and choose whatever you feel like. It’s all delicious… even on a rainy day.
