Cattle Baron Grill and Bistro Stellenbosch is a family-run restaurant re-opened under new ownership in August 2023 by Michael & Susan Van Rooyen. Situated on the R44 opposite the Mooiberge Strawberry Farm, the restaurant offers breathtaking views of the vineyards and sunsets. Relax and enjoy the view with a selection of hand-selected, local wines from the Cape Winelands. In addition to its warm ambiance, the separate patio area is ideal for the most memorable summer parties and events. The garden area offers a jungle gym for kids, while parents can relax at the picnic benches under umbrellas.

    Hi. Everything was fine. The only thing we were surprised about, was the fact that we were charged corkage for the second and third bottle of wine. We were a party of six. I think Cattle Baron advertises with „no Corkage ever“. How can that be?

    Love Cattle Baron Stellenbosch! We visit them at least once a week and must say… best steak in town and excellent service!

    This place is a hidden gem: you get gorgeous Steaks at reasonable price. My favourite: Chateaubriand with sauce Bernaise and Mushrooms. In case you bring your own wine: one bottle per table without corkage.
