1 November 1999 saw two impeccably well-aged and obviously grain fed “boys” Laz and Derryck, open the doors at Butcher Boys, Florida Road. Flash forward almost two decades and were still known for a great dining experience that delivers the finest beef on offer.
Our top class service is surpassed only by our unforgettable food, and our patrons can now experience this in two unique locations since Butcher Boys Umhlanga became the newest addition in March 2017.

Our beef is either wet or dry aged, depending on the cut, please feel free to visit our in store butchery for your special requests. Its then basted with our famous basting sauce before being grilled to absolute Perfection. Over 17 years of passion and great flavours have shaped our adventurous menu that offers nothing but variety and total satisfaction. Our extensive selection of vintage wines, stored in our refrigerated wine cellar at an optimum temperature of 16-17 degrees, will enhance every meal and turn it into a special occasion.

    I ordered the beef ribs but large pork ribs were served to us. I am in the food industry so I clearly know the difference. The manager brought smaller ribs out to show comparison but the meat was definitely pork by look and taste. Even the sinew is distinctive and unmistakable on pork. The steak and bone marrow combo was great though. Waiters are on point with service.

While we respect your views I can assure you we would never serve pork ribs instead of beef ribs you ordered. There is a distinct difference between the two and I would like to invite you to come and have a look at both the pork rib and beef ribs in the raw state as well as after being cooked. If you want you can take both home with you on us. Other than that there is not much more we can do to convince you. Kind Regards Management.

    Everyone were good to us but it took look to attract our waiter because of ur policy that our waiter could bring us any ongoing orders like drinks or dessert etc!!

    The fan speed too high. Understand it’s really hot but when you sitting for long period of time with fan hitting your neck it’s uncomfortable especially for the older folk. The ceiling also had some sort of leak and wS dripping on me. We ultimately changed tables as result of these two issues. Everything else was amazing as usual
