Welcome to The Bistro & Tasting Room at Brookdale Estate!

Ours is a true Cinderella tale … What was once a forgotten vineyard, overgrown and underused, is now a significant site for exceptional wines, creative cuisine, and abundant beauty.

Here, delicious menus designed by seasoned Executive Chef, Gary Coetzee, are brought together with wines grown on the surrounding vines and vinified by winemaker, Kiara Scott Farmer.

We have selected a blend of varietals for our vineyards and locally-sourced ingredients for our menus that honour the region, whilst showcasing new ideas, combinations and techniques.

Sip, taste, savour and discuss our minimalistic, terroir-driven wines which accompany dishes inspired by international flavours and local produce.

The Bistro at Brookdale promises a relaxed, contemporary Cape Winelands dining experience. Expect beautiful, soulful dishes, enjoyed with our wines, while at the Tasting Room, you will sample the latest terroir-driven vintages from our cellar made in ever-evolving styles.

    Lunch at Brookdale was a great experience again! It was our third visit of this lovely restaurant. Every plate of food appeared to be very tasty and beautifully arranged. We had starters, mains and desert. The Brookdale Chenin went very well with all the dishes. We enjoyed very much the attentive and professional service of Kindrey. And we loved sitting on the airy Terrasse. Thanks to chef Gerry, host Yvonne and everybody in the well organized team.

    Spectacular views and amazing service from the gate on arrival right until departure. Faultless staff service. Lovely the starters and could not fault the mains. Huge wonderful wine selection. Fantastic aperol spritz. Disappointed in the dessert; banoffee tart was bland and lacked any flavour. Koesister dessert was different with lovely ice cream and pistachio but the koesister was rubbery

    It doesn't get better than this! From the moment you arrive to the time you sadly have to leave, the experience is unsurpassed. Gary (head chef) and Yvonne (Operations) are a powerhouse team, who's influence is apparent in all aspects of the experience. Another mention is for Marinèsha Moore (Pastry Chef) who's deserts are simply sublime! If you have not been, why not?

    This was my second visit to Brookdale and definitely won't be the last. Food, service and venue absolutely sublime. It's become our favourite spot for celebratory events.

    One of our best experience in South Africa . The location is stunning, the staff is very professional and the wine and food is outstanding. We will be back and as the charming man told us at the Gate, the most beautiful estate in the world !!!
