Welcome to The Bistro & Tasting Room at Brookdale Estate!

Ours is a true Cinderella tale … What was once a forgotten vineyard, overgrown and underused, is now a significant site for exceptional wines, creative cuisine, and abundant beauty.

Here, delicious menus designed by seasoned Executive Chef, Gary Coetzee, are brought together with wines grown on the surrounding vines and vinified by winemaker, Kiara Scott Farmer.

We have selected a blend of varietals for our vineyards and locally-sourced ingredients for our menus that honour the region, whilst showcasing new ideas, combinations and techniques.

Sip, taste, savour and discuss our minimalistic, terroir-driven wines which accompany dishes inspired by international flavours and local produce.

The Bistro at Brookdale promises a relaxed, contemporary Cape Winelands dining experience. Expect beautiful, soulful dishes, enjoyed with our wines, while at the Tasting Room, you will sample the latest terroir-driven vintages from our cellar made in ever-evolving styles.

    Had the most wonderful meal. Staff were so warm and welcoming. Chef came to our table to have a conversation about the food. In fact, he went to all. He is so passionate about this restaurant and wine cellar. Well worth a visit. Will definitely be back

    A must visit restaurant. Gary is probably the best chef in the area right now. he has designed an extensive menu with superb ingredients and great flavours all beautifully plated. Supported by the knowledgable and attentive service we got from Aaron. We’ll be back!
