Why Amber?

Amber is our favourite colour. Looking at it’s heritage, Amber was named in the 14th Century, and we too intend to become timeless. Amber is an optimistic hue. It’s the antithesis of sadness. When in the presence of Amber, we can’t help but feel joyful. Amber believes that we accomplish more when we choose to be bold. If you’re reluctant to try new things, find inspiration in Amber.

It is said that the more Amber you have in your life, the higher your energy is presumed to be.

We see it’s beauty in so many things that we appreciate. The countless shades of Amber when the sun rises and again when it sets. The many shades of autumn leaves that fall to mark the end of a beautiful summer.

The flames of our grill, cooking a perfectly medium rare steak. The ice cold beer filling your glass as we pull on the lever of our draught machine. The unseen solution of barley, water and yeast encapsulated between toasted American white oak, maturing into a fine whisky that one day, many years from now, will be enjoyed and appreciated amongst friends.

Situated in iconic Bree Street, we already feel at home. We are excited to share the warmth that is Amber with you.

We did not want to limit ourselves to only one kind of cuisine so instead we opted to create a seasonal menu with influences from all around the world.

Our business is for you, our most important guest. We will always value your feedback, and we intend to evolve our business to suite you.

    Booked a table for 3 for first Thursday on 9th January as a pre birthday celebration. They had jazz musicians playing there who were amazing. We ordered 3 of their chicken lollipops and 2 of their mussels mains. The lollipops have a fantastic basting and were tender and juicy. The sauce of the mussels was absolutely divine. We ordered bread as an extra as mussels come with crispy chips but we needed the bread to mop up all that delicious sauce. The staff were absolutely attentive and efficient. The owners gave us a free shot each for my birthday and even got the band to play happy birthday for me. It was amazing! Definitely be back and definitely recommend it! Thanks Amber for giving me an awesome birthday celebration

    the service was more concerned with itself. For me personally it was too loud for eating. My steak was good, but the side dishes and sauce were pretty bland
