Marketing Coordinator


Dineplan is a leading platform connecting diners with over 2,000 restaurants across South Africa. We are looking for a Marketing Coordinator with a couple of years of experience in marketing. If you have skills in email marketing and social media, and you’re eager to help us create and share content that stands out, this could be the perfect role for you.

This is a full-time, in-office position based in Claremont, Cape Town.


Responsibilities:

  • Client Email and SMS Marketing: 
    • Design and build basic email templates that look great and align with our clients’ brands.
    • Create, test, and send email campaigns for Dineplan clients.
    • Build and maintain good relationships with clients, understanding and meeting their needs.
    • Work closely with clients to gather content, get their approval on emails, and schedule campaigns.
    • Ensure clients receive their content on time and stay informed throughout the process.
    • Support clients during campaigns, providing clear communication and updates.
    • Monitor the performance of email campaigns, send reports, and suggest improvements.
  • Social Media Marketing:
    • Post content on Dineplan’s social media channels according to our monthly plan.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute campaigns that meet our goals.
    • Help create content schedules and ensure deadlines are met.
    • Respond to comments and messages on our social media platforms.
    • Work closely with our Social Media Manager to develop strategies that increase Dineplan’s social media presence, followers, and engagement.
    • Stay updated on the latest trends in email and social media marketing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, especially in email and social media marketing.
  • Familiar with email marketing tools like Mailchimp, Everlytic or HubSpot.
  • A keen eye for design and layout in email templates.
  • Good understanding of social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
  • Strong writing skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage several client accounts at once.
  • Good organisational skills and time management.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and a desire to learn.
