Dineplan is a leading platform connecting diners with over 2,000 restaurants across South Africa. We provide a range of marketing tools to help our clients grow their businesses, including paid media strategies, email marketing, and content creation. We’re looking for an experienced Marketing Specialist to optimise our paid marketing efforts and increase the profitability of our advertising space.
This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Claremont, Cape Town.
Responsibilities:
- Paid Media Strategy: Develop and execute paid media strategies across channels like social media, email, and digital ads to boost brand awareness and drive conversions.
- Advertising Sales: Sell advertising opportunities to Dineplan clients and aligned brands, including ad placements in our newsletters, social media ads, blog posts, and other digital platforms.
- Client Management: Work closely with clients to understand their marketing needs, provide regular updates, and ensure they’re happy with our paid promotion services.
- Team Coordination: Brief the design team on campaign requirements and ensure timely sign-off on all creative assets.
- Email Marketing: Lead the strategy and implementation of all Dineplan email marketing campaigns, including growing and cleaning the mailing list, managing content sponsors, creating content, updating HTML templates, and ensuring high deliverability, and open and click-through rates.
- Content Monetisation: Identify and implement ways to monetise our blog, newsletters, social media, website and app through sponsorships, ads, and other revenue opportunities.
- Content Creation & Management: Work closely with internal teams to create engaging content, test and optimise performance, and schedule campaigns for maximum impact.
- Reporting & Analysis: Track and report on the performance of all paid campaigns, offering insights and suggestions for improvement.
- Innovation: Constantly seek out new ways to enhance our marketing efforts, including finding new content sponsors and creative monetisation strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, Journalism, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in marketing campaign management, including paid media strategy and execution.
- Strong sales skills with a proven track record of selling ad space and securing sponsorships.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Strong client management skills, with a focus on building and maintaining relationships.
- Proficiency in email marketing, content creation, and digital advertising.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects.
- Experience in reporting and analysing marketing campaign performance.
- Creative and innovative mindset for finding new monetisation opportunities.
