This December and January, seafood lovers are in for a treat! Chef Kobus Botha, the well-known Kokkedoor Vuur & Vlam judge, is bringing his famous cooking to the shores of Saldanha. Right by the sea, this one-of-a-kind dining experience promises fresh, seasonal Cape seafood with a side of West Coast charm.
Starting on 15 December 2024, this exclusive 40-seater Weskus pop-up will be open for just one month, so be sure to book your spot before it’s gone!
An ocean-inspired menu
Kobus’ menu is all about celebrating the ocean’s freshest treasures and what inspires him. You can expect a mix of innovative and authentic dishes, from éclade de moule (a classic French mussel dish cooked with pine needles) to gâteau à la broche, and “boere-baisse” – a local twist on the famous Mediterranean fish soup.

To make the experience even more special, Kobus has teamed up with Adi and Cornelia Badenhorst’s Saldanha Wine and Spirit Company, where the pop-up will be hosted. You’ll enjoy an outstanding selection of wines, bubbly, port, and sherry, all served at Adi’s eclectic seaside sherry cellar.
