Nestled in the leafy suburb of Upper Wynberg, Palm House Boutique Hotel and Spa has just launched their newest offering from the Palm Terrace – an afternoon tea experience. Guests are invited to take a seat within the hotel’s gardens at the slope of Table Mountain and take a moment away from the busy city life.
Afternoon tea in a lush setting
Palm Terrace at Palm House is an idyllic summer spot for catching up with friends, and family, or simply treating yourself to an afternoon tea under the canopy of palm trees. When Cape Town’s weather turns a bit cooler, the conservatory-style restaurant offers a cosy, warm alternative.
A classic experience with a modern twist
The menu, curated by Executive Chef Gregory Henderson, focuses on locally-sourced ingredients and is inspired by the timeless traditions of afternoon teas in England. The three-tiered étagère features a selection of mouthwatering bites, from freshly baked scones with clotted cream and preserves to an array of delicate pastries, and dainty finger sandwiches.
Priced at R395 per person, the experience includes your choice of specialty coffee, tea, fresh juice, or a glass of Cape Winelands’ sparkling wine.
More than just tea
Palm House Boutique Hotel and Spa is more than just a spot for afternoon tea. It’s recently been transformed by new owners Max Jong and Shelagh Wood who meticulously updated the space to blend its classic charm with modern-day comforts, making it a warm and welcoming retreat for guests.
Treat yourself by extending your visit at the boutique Açaí Spa and Wellness Oasis. With three treatment rooms and a distinctive Banya Sauna, the spa offers a range of beauty and wellness treatments designed to help you completely unwind.
