From the moment my wife and I were welcomed by the exceptional Guest Relations Manager, Chloē, we new this imprmpto visit was going to be a preferred choice, whenever in Cape Town - This newly aquired Andros Hotel by the Sabi Sabi group and renamed the Claremont could easily by awarded 6 stars - Chloē is infintely knowledgable about options for tourists to this region - Her European exposure makes her an outstanding asset to this new establishment - The menu is unique and even offers Indian cuisine - Our waieter, Mackson was just as remarkable - I had the best Chocolate and caramel cake EVER - An outstanding feature is complimentary water, Still or Sparkling - a Must visit - We will certainly return, because Chloē left such an impression that warrants a vanother visit soon.

What an absolute shocker ! Booked for 6 for my sons 34th birthday for brunch at 11am And confirmed telephonically as well !! Not welcomed or acknowledged as we arrive. No table set up for 6. Had to ask for menus , a number of times. Ages to take order… then a rather embarrassed ‘manager ‘ showed up and said ‘sorry ‘ orders could be placed. Food showed up in intervals , about an hour after we arrived. Brunch burgers were nice enough , no bacon tho ‘ and one guests fishcakes was actually a single fishcake. And the salmon bagels looked pathetic, my son actually left his. He then complained to another manager that showed up. And she then got us 3 portions of bacon . And gave him a bottle of bubbles as a sort of an apology. I was appalled , as I had read some great reviews. But nah. Never going there again. Probably one of the worst ‘brunches’ ever experienced. Apologies to my son.

I am writing directly to Veld & Vine as I don't want anyone else to have the same disappointing evening. Don't go if you want professional service, don't go if you expect the dish you ordered to be as described in the menu. Don't go if you expect good quality cooking. Don't go if you expect to enjoy the meal you have chosen. Don't go if you expect to receive quality that the prices reflect. This is not worthy of the Sabi Sabi stable.
